According to reports, Joycelyn Savage, one of Robert Kelly’s alleged victims, and R Kelly are engaged to be married.

After being found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking on June 29, the troubled R&B singer was given a 30-year sentence.

Meanwhile, Kelly is scheduled to stand trial separately for child sex image and obstruction in August in Chicago.

Kelly was identified as Savage’s fiancé in a letter she addressed to a federal judge before to the punishment, according to TMZ.

“I’m Robert Kelly’s fiancée”, the 26-year-old disclosed to the judge named Ann Donnelly, on June 13, in the letter. I’m writing this letter in support of Robert in advance of his sentencing, so I can explain to the court that I’m not the victim that the government has portrayed me to be.”

In the letter, Savage called Kelly the finest thing that’s ever happened to her and said that their relationship is amazing.

Kelly allegedly always saw to the needs of “any other ladies he was with,” according to Savage.

“We have a very special connection and are deeply in love. Robert is not the monster that the government has described him to be. The Robert I know is very sweet, gentle and kind.”

“He’s very determined and focused on his goals, and the things that have been said about him, with me and other women being held against our will, is absolutely untrue. It breaks my heart that the government has created a narrative that I’m a victim.”

“I’m a grown woman, and can speak for myself, which is why I wanted to provide this letter to the court. Kelly is a great man, with a great heart and deserves to be home with his loved ones who are ready to support him.”

Savage’s parents’ lawyer Gerald Griggs was quoted as saying that the alleged victim never informed the family of the engagement.

The lawyer added that they had never previously discussed the possibility.

The fact that Savage sneaked the information into the letter to the court rather than testifying about it under oath struck Griggs as unusual, as she revealed.

According to him, the family has serious questions about the alleged engagement and plans to get in touch with Savage to get the whole truth.
