The fashion industry has undergone significant changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world emerges from this challenging period, fashion designers are redefining their creative expressions to reflect the new reality. Nigeria’s prolific designer Chike Mordi CEO of Zhalima Grazioni  presents their first collection after the pandemic, titled “Exhale,” a celebration of femininity and resilience. This all-female ultrafeminine collection embodies the spirit of renewal and empowerment, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary fashion.

For this designer

“Exhale” is a testament to the strength and beauty of women.

“The collection draws inspiration from the idea of exhaling after a period of confinement and uncertainty, symbolizing a release of pent-up emotions and a return to freedom,” says Chike.

The designer’s vision is to create an ultrafeminine aesthetic that exudes confidence, grace, and sophistication, reflecting the resilience of women in the face of adversity.

The ‘Exhale’ collection features a harmonious blend of soft, flowing silhouettes and bold, statement pieces, featuring mostly silver metallic fabric that shimmers and shines. The collection includes a range of garments such as thigh-high slit and cut-out dresses, skirts, and tops, all crafted with precision and attention to detail.

In addition to the silver metallic fabric, the collection also features a few pink, outfits in ball skirts and Barbie dresses for a pop of colour.

The designs are characterized by intricate detailing, including ruffles, pleats, and floral motifs, adding a touch of romance and femininity to each garment.

Exhale” by Zhalima Grazioni marks a significant milestone in the post-pandemic fashion landscape. The collection celebrates the resilience and beauty of women, offering a contemporary interpretation of ultrafeminine style. Through intricate designs and thoughtful craftsmanship, the designer invites women to embrace their femininity with confidence and grace. “Exhale” is a testament to the enduring spirit of creativity and resilience in the face of adversity.
