Blessing Egbe vows to expose Nollywood executives scamming producers

April 14,2021
Share:

Nollywood producer, Blessing Egbe vows to publish the names of Nollywood executives involved in the business of extorting and duping unsuspecting filmmakers.

The filmmaker pulled the unidentified executives and people who work for them in a recently circulated Twitter post, accusing them of creating a system that ensures producers make barely any profit from their content.

“These people get rich off producers content. The plan, it appears is to make producers reach the point of lack so much that they become slaves to them”, she wrote. “Producers take d most hit in all of this & because of d fear of being blacklisted, We keep mute. For how long? How do you owe a producer for content that u have licensed or aired? How do you shut d door to good content, or underprice it bcos of sentiments? Producers are VICTIMS!”

She wrote:

Some of d so called highly acclaimed Nollywood executives are cheats & scammers. On the outside, they appear put together, but on the inside, they are wolves. If pushed further, I will write in detail & expose them. I will name NAMES. Then they can team up and take me to court.

The people who work with them are like they. Liars. Cunning humans & story tellers. They too will be mentioned. These people get rich off producers content. The plan, it appears is to make producers reach the point of lack so much that they become slaves to them.

Some of them use producers to move funds, some owe producers for years and prance about like all is well, others have no clue what keeping to d terms of a contract means. They just want to use & re-use keen producers who just want 2 sell market. TRUANTS! TYRANTS! THIEVES! RAPISTS

Producers take d most hit in all of this & because of d fear of being blacklisted, We keep mute. For how long? How do you owe a producer for content that u have licensed or aired? How do you shut d door to good content, or underprice it bcos of sentiments? Producers are VICTIMS!

My next film in Nollywood should be titled RAPISTS in Suits and HEELS. Tuehh!

A rape culture thrives in nollywood & we all keep mute about it. FEAR! How will nollywood grow if we dont call out these evil heads who sit in their plush offices & rape producers dry? Take their hard earned works and fly high with it? When will there be the needed repercussions?

The few content I have had d privilege of licensing for my YT channel, I paid upfront. God forbid that I do otherwise except on agreement with the producer. But these crooks. They licence content or commission one & despite d fact that a contract is in place, they do otherwise.

These ones. Listen to them. Na dem call GOD pass. Na dem look humble pass. Na dem get soft voice pass, and sadly but true, na dem dey gateway. The most celebrated. The most acclaimed. ALL WASH! May THUNDER locate every intentional Cheat and destiny crusher in Nollywood!!!!! AMEN!
