Chief of Army Staff Ibrahim Attahiru dies in a plane crash
Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, is said to have died in a military plane crash in Kaduna State on Friday, May 21, 2021. In January, Attahiru succeeded Tukur Buratai as the highest Army commander.
According to a brief statement issued by the Air Force on Friday evening, the crash occurred near Kaduna International Airport.
