Jollof Spaghetti Recipe
Are you tired of the same old spaghetti and sauce? Try this Jollof Spaghetti – A simple recipe with just a few ingredients and your lunch or dinner table is ready.
Making Jollof Spaghetti is nearly identical to making Nigerian Jollof Rice; simply apply a little twist to this recipe to make it more suitable for Spaghetti.
Ingredients
2 (or more) Tomatoes
2 scotch bonnet peppers
3 red bell peppers
1 yellow onion
Blend above until smooth and set aside.
1/2 lb frying steak (sirloin sliced thin)
1/2 lb chicken thighs; sliced thin
Marinated both with the following
Chicken Bouillon cube powder
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt
Marinate individually and set aside to marinate for or hour.
2 tbsp coconut oil
Fry both meats until fully cooked – beef first then chicken (in reserves oil – add more if necessary).
1 small Red Onion; sliced
1 tbsp tomato paste
Add more coconut oil (as necessary)
Fry onions for a few minutes, add tomato paste and cook until paste is crumbly.
Add in the blended pepper mix.
Combine then season with:
1 tbsp Ginger paste
1 tbsp Garlic paste
1 Chicken bouillon cube
Salt; to taste
White pepper; to taste
Combine thoroughly and cook down for 30 minutes.
Use HALF OF THE RECIPE. Add your choice of veggies
Carrots
Bell Peppers (Green and Red)
Add in Spaghetti (cooked to al dente)
Add meats and green onions.
