Odion Ighalo excited as he scores in front of his mum who watched him play live for the first time
Odion Ighalo had a memorable night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when he scored in front of his mother, who was watching him play live for the first time.
Al-Shabab FC defeated Al-Ain 5-1 in the Saudi Pro-League on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, with Ighalo scoring one of the goals.
In a perfect goal, the 31-year-old scored his team’s second goal of the night. He played a one-two with a teammate with an attempt from inside the box before finishing past the goalkeeper.
Since his mother was in the stands for the first time in his career, the goal was extra special. He rushed up to his mother and bowed to her, forming a heart shape with his palms. Sharing the video on Twitter, the striker: “For The First Time Since 16 years Of My Professional Career, Mama Was Able To Watch Me Play Live In The Stadium, One Of The Happiest Day Of My Life.”
