Don’t find a wife you can’t fund – Reno Omokri to men
Reno Omokri, Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria from 2011-2015 has advised men not to pick a wife if they haven’t found their purpose in life or found success.
The quite outspoken author gave this advice on his social media handle.
According to him, a man is likely to run into trouble if he finds a wife before finding his purpose.
His post reads: ”Dear men, if you have not found your purpose or success, don’t find a wife, because you won’t be able to fund her. If you find a wife before finding your purpose and success, most likely, you have found trouble. When you find purpose and success, the right woman will find you. God only brought Eve to Adam when Adam found his purpose (caring for the Garden of Eden). You do not need a wife simply because you have sensual urges. You need a wife when you have a life that is successful enough to accommodate other people”
He clarified further, ” It is irresponsible for unemployed people to marry. You don’t see that in Scripture. Right from Adam, people in Scripture were employed before they got married. In Genesis 1:28, God said “be fruitful and multiply”. If you are not yet fruitful, and you multiply, you are disobeying God. Why should you deliberately increase your population when you don’t have an occupation? And even if you have a job, get a side hustle. To have a family and rely on one source of income is like flying a plane with only one engine. If that engine fails, that plane WILL crash. Even nature gives a mother two breasts. If milk for the baby finishes in one, there will be milk in the other one.”
