Look Great Without Makeup

As much as women love to wear makeups, the dream of every woman is to feel fierce and confident enough to appear in public, bare-faced, or on social media, looking nothing short of flawless in a filter-free photo without even any foundation on!

But maintaining a radiant face isn’t always easy, and the reality is there are reasons your face is missing that so-called glow.

Follow these easy tips to help you look great without makeup.

Wash

First things first, you have to start with a fresh base to get the best results. Take off any makeup, dirt, and grime from the day with a good wash and follow up with your favourite face cleanser. (Even if you didn’t wear any makeup.)

Exfoliate

Get rid of any rough texture with an exfoliant to reveal healthier-looking skin underneath.

Your skin is constantly repairing and replacing itself. Because of this, you can be left with layers upon layers of dead skin all over your body. Exfoliating helps rid your body of these leftover dead skin cells, revealing healthier and brighter skin. You should also apply a face mask twice a week.

Tone

Toners are key for removing any remaining impurities. Some may claim this step is repetitive because a toner generally exfoliates as well, but can your face really be too clean?

Moisturise

Dryness is the most common cause of dull face skin. It creates cracks in skin’s surface and causes dead skin cells to build up, making the complexion look uneven and lackluster. Applying a moisturiser every morning and evening fills in those fissures with lipids, which mimic the natural fats of the skin, creating a smooth, reflective surface.

Sleep

Anything that keeps you up at night can stand between you and glowing skin. Sleep is when your skin cells repair themselves and regenerate. If that period is shortened or altered, skin cells can’t perform at their optimum level.

Aim to get about seven to nine hours of sleep per night.

Hydrate

Both inner and outer hydration is extremely important. Water is the key in hydrating our bodies and flushing toxins out of our system. Especially if you like to enjoy a couple of cocktails here and there, or consume coffee regularly, make sure to follow up with water. Keep a bottle of water with you at all times.
