Acts behind closed doors, not social media, reason for marriage breakups – Chris Adah

Ultimate Love reality TV show star, Chris Adah-Obaoye, has shared her thoughts on the perceived notion that social media contribute to breaking marriages.

The 37-year-old Brand Architect is of the opinion that acts people put up behind closed doors, which many do not see are the reason behind breakups.

In a post on social media, Chris, who is married to Chris Obaoye, whom she met on the reality show, counselled those who intend to get married to be ready to drop certain lifestyles.

Here is her post on Instagram, where she offered other tips on having a successful marriage.

“Social media does not break marriages. Be responsible for the acts you put up behind closed doors, those acts that people don’t see are the reason behind breakups. The entertainment industry is so rotten, and if you don’t want to marry, please don’t.

“People should marry because there are certain lifestyles that they have decided to drop. If you marry because others have or because of the gifts you may receive and the buzz, your sham will pack up. If you are someone who enjoys mènage à Trois, marry your type and be judged in the afterlife.

“Marry your type! Marry your type. Don’t marry a man or a woman because of what you are to gain, it will pack up. Love is not enough, we have misused this LOVE word that it now connotes something else. You don’t behave anyhow in marriage. It doesn’t help at all. No carte blanche in marriage, No hall pass in marriage. If you want to live anyhow, please let your partner live anyhow too. Women should not be subjected to slavery and subservience all in the name of marriage. “They MUST understand because they are women “??? She is human too.

“Please let us take responsibility for our breakups and not blame social media. It is your escapade that comes up on the networks and not the other way round. Please husband, protect your wife so she can also protect you. Respect yourselves too.

GOD, protect every marriage. It is your order and we are obeying you . Protect us, dear Lord.

-Chris.”
