Hackers invade late Sound Sultan’s social media pages, wife raises alarm

Hackers have invaded the social media accounts of late Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, to extort funds from innocent people.

Family Reveals Cause Of Sound Sultan's Death

Sound Sultan’s wife, Farida Fasasi, raised the alarm on Saturday via her Instagram page, as she warned the public that her family is not in charge of her late husband’s account.

Sharing a disclaimer image, Farida wrote, “Kindly disregard any communication from all @soundsultan’s social media accounts.

“The accounts have been hacked by scammers sending messages to innocent people to solicit funds. Please the family has no control over the accounts.

“Lets be watchful. Cybercrime is at an all time high. Thank you so much for your support all the way. You would be informed when we have control over the accounts.”

Popular singer, Sound Sultan, died on the 11th of July after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma. He was buried same day in the United States, according to Islamic rites.

A month after his death, his wife, Farida, had broken her silence over her husband’s death as she penned an emotional tribute in his memory.

Part of the tribute read, “It still feels like a bad dream. How is this my fate?. Living without you has to be the worst punishment life has thrown my way.”

“My dear Aboo, my nights have been so long and cold since you left me. My sweet gentle husband, the love of my entire life, my world. Thank you for giving me the best of yourself for the past years. Our love was truly perfect and I am totally lost without you.”
