N250M donation: Davido gives update
Singer Davido has added his own N50 million donation to the over N200 million raised by him from his friends and associates, which has now been diverted towards supporting charity homes across Nigeria.
The singer had promised to add his own money of N50m to the donations after his friends and associated surprised him donating over N200 million in two days, and do something worthwhile with it.
In the spirit of transparency, Davido shared updated account details on his Instagram page, on Monday, and promised to give more details soon regarding the disbursement of funds.
He wrote: “My 50 million donation has been added ❤️ #transparency more details soon regarding the disbursement of funds #werisebyliftingothers.”
On Thursday, Davido put out his account number on his social media pages, asking his friends and fans to send him 1 million naira each. Immediately, the funds started rolling in and he got 40 million naira within 2 hours. The amount that was raised in two days ran into 200 million naira.
