How to wear thigh-high slit like a celebrity

By Josephine Agbonkhese

Not only are slits sexy, they are flattering! Whether they be skirts with slits up the side or jackets with slits running down the side, slits are a daring but super fashionable look.

Even more so daring is the thigh-high slit dress; a trend that has continued to dominate the fashion world and every red carpet.

Nothing beats glamour like the thigh-high slit dress as the high slit on the outfit looks extremely sensuous, feminine and stylish.

But the high slit dress is no longer the realm of the red carpet as nowadays, fashionistas don this attire with full justice on the streets as well on a bright sunny day.

This dress however calls for some caution and tips to be kept in mind.

Here, we show you just how to perfectly rock this trend like your favourite celebrities.

  • Chic Ama

Like Chic Ama, wear heels with your high slit dress; it enhances the look. Flats will bring your hips closer to the floor and make you appear shorter.

  • Dorathy Bachor

Make sure the dress fits you perfectly and is taped down well. Dorathy Bachor shows you how in this lovely velvet dress.
Choose the colours according to the time of the day.

  • Blessing Audu

For daytime, go for light pastel colours; choose ritzy materials for night time like Blessing Audu.

  • Rita Dominic

Try keeping the focus on the legs and be subtle about it like Rita Dominic; too much skin on the show along with an exposed thigh could end up looking slutty.

  • Funke Akindele

Maintain a good figure like Funke Akindele; the high slit looks more glamorous on a toned body.
