Following the surprise announcement of her engagement to a Lagos Pastor, gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo has been called out by Evangelist Victor Edet.

It was earlier reported yesterday that Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo is set to walk down the aisle with the absolute love of her life, Pastor Blessed of Waterbrook church where singer, Banky W also pastors in.

The couple are set to tie the knot in August, 2022 in Port Harcourt.

Mercy Chinwo proudly flaunted her engagement ring on her social media page.

Reacting to the news, Evangelist Victor Edet, called out the singer saying that using ring for a wedding engagement is totally wrong and unacceptable because the bible forbids the use of rings and jewels.

He also added that wearing makeup is another sin of its own because only prostitutes use it.

It can be recalled that Victor Edet in 2020 warned Mercy Chinwo to stop being seductive as a gospel musician.

Taking to Facebook, Victor stated that a true Christian is supposed to be decent as he earned her to beware of her act.

“You can’t be singing gospel songs and be seductive at the same time. A true Christian should look DECENT not SEDUCTIVE. Mercy Chinwo beware!”, he wrote.
