Once beaten, twice shy- Tonto Dikeh recounts how dishonest fan made her dismiss genuine one
Tonto Dikeh, a Nollywood actress, has lamented the passing of a young boy whose mother had requested medical attention but she neglected.
On her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh disclosed that she disregarded the mother of the deceased boy’s request because of a previous encounter with a dishonest person.
She claimed that after giving a random fan who claimed to be experiencing health problems N370,000, she soon discovered that she had been deceived.
After the incident a few days ago, a woman sent her a similar note pleading for help with the medical fees for her sick son.
Because of the previous incident, Tonto claimed she deleted and dismissed the message, only to discover when she recently opened her message box that the mother had messaged her regarding her son’s death.
She wrote:
“The way I deleted and ignored the message ehn, this morning, I opened my DM. The mother told me her son died. My eyes hurt…my heart aches.
I will hate myself for a very long time. See the amount of damage one person’s lies and choices have caused. My heart goes out to everyone going through one thing or the other!!
“I will beat myself up for this for long.”
