‘A man that cooks better than a woman,’ – Onyinye Okafor celebrates father as he clocks 63

Fair and leggy Nollywood actress, Onyinye Okafor is today, September 12, celebrating her father as he clocks 63.

Onyinye who is the first fruit of her father via her Instagram post revealed that he has gone through a lot in life, despite having her at a young age.

She shared photos of her father on her page and wrote: “Happy 63rd birthday to my number one MENTOR …!!!! No cap. Am so blessed to be called your first fruit … your first strength. Daddy you started the struggles of life so early … had me so so early..went through so much at such a young age. I pray to God to pls keep you for me so I can take very good care of you. For he that suffered. Should enjoy you shall keep aging in grace. Peace of mind and body. Good health and many blessings. Love you always papa ONYINYE …aka best man. a man that cooks more than a woman. “

OnyinyeOkafor had earlier revealed the one major regret in life, although it has transformed into a huge blessing for her in disguise.

The divorced mother of four in a recent interview said looking back, she doesn’t really have regrets but ..”I don’t have any regrets because everything that God does is beautiful. The only regret I’d have had would have been wrong marriage but it still helped me to be who I am today. So, I don’t have even one regret. I am a proud mother of four lovely boys.  I have also had lots of challenges in Nollywood. Some producers will tell you that if you don’t sleep with them, you won’t amount to anything in the industry. I was asked to have sex with them in exchange for movie scripts many times and I did not do it! It is not something you come to say somebody did this or that to you,” she recalled.

Onyii as she is fondly called by close friends also lambasted her colleagues who bring their private issues to the public space, especially via social media.

She said: “He or she who feel that washing his/her dirty linen outside is best, should continue. For me, Onyi Okafor, it’s not my thing. I let you see what I want you to see. You cannot know too much about me because I’m not comfortable with that.

It is crazy and it’s not a good idea. I don’t know why people do such stupid and crazy thing. It’s not my thing. When I see things like that, I just pass like I don’t want to see it.

Except for death threat, every other thing should be about you. Like what you see on my page is me, I am the public person. Nothing more, nothing less.
