Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, better known as Reekado Banks, recently lost his mother.

The singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the death of his mother, Dorcas Olubunmi Solomon.

While he did not disclose the cause of her death, he did ask for prayers for his family.

He wrote:

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, confidant and friend. Dorcas Olubunmi Solomon, is survived by her husband, sisters, children and grandchildren.

We implore the general public to keep us in prayers at this difficult time.
