Former Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, has been given a reason to rejoice as his daughter, Hafsat, received a master’s degree in law from the Soas University of London on Wednesday.

Sanusi and members of his family were spotted at her graduation ceremony.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, also known as Khalifa Sanusi II, is a spiritual leader in Nigeria’s Tijanniyah Sufi order.

He is also a member of the Dabo dynasty and was the emir of Kano, an ancient city-state.

Recall that the polygamous leader welcomed a baby girl with his fourth wife in November.
