How to Set Up a Romantic Bedroom for Valentine

Do you want to spice up your evening with a bit of romance? Sprucing up the bedroom is a great way to show your partner how much you appreciate him or her.

You don’t have to head to a hotel to give them the romantic bedroom of their dreams—you can do it right in the comfort of your own home!

You’ll find all the tips and tricks you need to decorate for your special evening here. You’re about to learn how to set up a romantic bedroom that’ll make your partner swoon.

Make the bed with satin, dark-coloured sheets.

You’re going to be spending most of your evening in this bed, so the more luxurious, the better! Take the extra time to fluff the pillows and tighten the sheets so they’re perfectly crisp.

You should want to jump right in when you look at it. Satin sheets are soft but slick, making them perfectly cozy for an active night in. Dark coloured sheets such as black and burgundy will blend into the shadows, keeping your attention on spouse.

Dim the lights

Turn off harsh, bright lights. Instead of leaving the ceiling light on, opt for having one bedside lamp or even fairy lights. This creates a cozy, calm, and romantic atmosphere, setting the mood for the evening. Colour-changing lights can be a great mood setter! Light the room up in your partner’s favourite colour, or go with something soft and orange-toned.

Sprinkle rose petals on the bed

Add to the romantic ambience with rose petals. It may sound cliche, but this small detail really works! Anyone is sure to blush at the sight of rose petals on a bed—even him. This is an easy way to show your love. Plus, rose petals leave a beautiful scent that’ll get you both in the mood. Why keep the petals just on the bed? Sprinkle them around the room, or go wild and make a path leading from the door to the bed.

Hang a mirror in the bedroom

Make a small bedroom look inviting with a mirror. Mirrors can make even the tightest spaces seem bigger. Plus, there’s something magical about them. Amp up the romance by placing a mirror right across from the bed, and don’t worry. We won’t judge how often you peak at it—that’s what it’s there for! Mirrors open up the space and your relationship. Try talking with partner through the mirror or set the mirror someplace you can both see each other’s reflections.
