Actress, Efe Irele declares support for colleague, Desmond Elliot
Nollywood actress Efe Irele has promised to support her colleague Desmond Elliott, who is seeking re-election for a third term to the Lagos State House of Assembly on March 18, 2023, from the Surulere seat.
Efe Irele stated this on her Instagram page and clarified that she was not supporting Desmond Elliot because she was close friends with him, but rather because of his excellent deeds both as an individual and a member of Congress.
She said she had watched the way he had supported and encouraged other young Lagosians, including her, in the arts.
In her words;
I believe in @desmondelliot not because I know him but because I have seen what he has done as an individual and as a lawmaker. I have seen how he encouraged and supported young Lagosians (including me) in the creative industry.
I have seen him provide free shuttle buses for students in Surulere. I personally know up to 15 out of the 1,000 people he provided free health care and insurance for.
Forget PR and social media management, Desmond Elliot is a good representative and I will be supporting and voting for him on Saturday.
