Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian named on Forbes Billionaires List
Forbes has released its annual list of billionaires, and this year, three high-profile celebrities have made the cut.
Rihanna Fenty, Shawn Carter (better known as Jay Z), and Kim Kardashian have all been named among the world’s billionaires by the US Business magazine.
Rihanna’s brand, Fenty, has been a significant contributor to her massive net worth. The singer’s business partner, Bernard Arnault, who is a luxury goods titan, helped her to become one of the richest people in the world with a net worth of $211 billion, surpassing Elon Musk.
However, in the Forbes list published on Tuesday, Rihanna slipped down the rankings from 1,729th to 2,020th, with a net worth of $1.4 billion, down from $1.7 billion in 2022.
Meanwhile, Steven Spielberg, the director of the hit movie Titanic, ranked 694th on the list with a net worth of $4 billion after the release of the Avatar sequel last year.
Kim Kardashian, who is ranked 2,259th on the list, saw her fortune shrink from $1.9 billion in 2022 to $1.2 billion in 2023. However, her shapewear clothing line, Skims, has been a huge success, and the company is now worth an estimated $3.2 billion.
Kanye West, Kim’s ex-husband, did not make the list after Adidas dropped him due to his anti-Semitic comments on social media.
Jay-Z is the only major star to have seen an increase in his net worth. The rapper, who is married to Beyoncé, has increased his wealth from $1.4 billion to $2.5 billion and is placed at 1,217th on the list.
