Singer Ayra Starr makes Obama playlist

Fast-rising singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, otherwise known as Ayra Starr, recently shared an incredible story of how her prayers were answered when she found herself on Barack Obama’s playlist.

In an interview with NME, the 20-year-old singer expressed her surprise and gratitude for the unexpected recognition.

Ayra Starr revealed that she had fervently prayed for the opportunity to be included on Obama’s esteemed playlist.

Little did she know that her aspirations would soon become a reality. To her astonishment, she received a message that turned out to be a confirmation of her prayers.

Recalling the moment, Ayra Starr said, “The funny thing about that is that, the morning before the list came out, I was in the shower and I was like, I really would really like to be on Barack Obama’s list for next year. I just thought about it, I didn’t know it was coming out. And I prayed, and I was like, ‘God, please just do this one for me. Please.'”

Shortly after, she received tags and messages from people, mentioning Obama’s name. Initially perplexed, Ayra Starr couldn’t understand why people were connecting her with Obama.

However, upon closer inspection, she discovered that her prayers had indeed been answered.

Excitement filled her as she exclaimed, “And somebody tagged me, like somebody sent the post to me and it wasn’t loading so I couldn’t really see, but I was like, this is Obama. I was like, why are people sending me Obama’s posts? I couldn’t see the picture. I was like, it is, it is! And I saw it and I was so excited.”
