It is Father’s Day today, and it’s time to show Dad how much he means to you. While a heartfelt card and a hug are always appreciated, why not go the extra mile this year and plan a special day filled with treats and activities that he will love.

No matter what you choose to do, the most important thing is to make sure your dad feels loved and appreciated.

Here are some ideas to make the day memorable.

1.Breakfast in Bed: Start Daddy’s day off right by making him his favourite breakfast and serving it to him in bed. Don’t forget to include a handmade card and a big kiss.

2. Treat Him to a Spa Day

Spa days are not just for the ladies alone, your dad would love a spa treatment. Fathers work hard, and they deserve a little pampering. Treat him to a luxurious massage, hair cut or professional shave. Let him feel like the gem that he is. If that is not in the budget, you could offer to give him a massage yourself. A good massage is always appreciated.

3. Outdoor Adventure

If your dad is the outdoor type, plan a day of adventure. Consider taking him to the cinemas to see an interesting movie, while munching on some popcorn and drinks, or a musical concert for a groovy time out.

4. Lunch or Dinner day out

If your dad loves to eat, consider planning a food-themed day. You could take him to his favourite restaurant, or better still, cook his favourite meal for him.

5. Plan a Surprise Event

Organise a surprise event that your dad would enjoy. It could be a special Father’s Day party, a music concert, or a visit to a place he’s always wanted to go. Your dad will appreciate this gesture that comes from your heart which shows your thoughtfulness.

6. The perfect gift

If you are still wondering how to give dad a treat, go out there and get him a beautiful gift. Consider getting him a practical gift that he would use often maybe a luxury gift set, (Wristwatch, Sunglasses, Wallet and Pen) or just a designer sunshade and you would have made his day most memorable.

7. Quality Time

At the end of the day, the most important thing is to spend quality time together. Whether you’re cooking, eating or just hanging out, make sure to soak up every moment and let your dad know how much you love him.
