The Winning Woman Conference Empowers Women to Build Wealth

The Oriental Hotel, Lagos, was abuzz with learning and inspiration on Saturday, July 13th, as women gathered for the Winning Woman Conference.

Organized by Gtext Suites, the subsidiary of Gtext Holdings, the event brought together prominent women including Her Excellency Dr. Helen Boyo-Ekwueme, wife of former Nigerian Vice President Dr. Alex Ekwueme.

Dr. Boyo-Ekwueme, a keynote speaker, urged women to embrace their multifaceted nature. “A winning woman can play multiple roles and adapt to any situation,” she said, challenging the stereotype that men are better at single-minded focus.

Her advice? Be goal-oriented, educate yourself continuously, mentor others, and never lose sight of your ambitions.

Mrs. Bisi Akintayo, CEO of Gtext Suites, emphasized that “every woman is a winner” regardless of her career path. From agriculture and education to politics, women can excel in diverse fields. She encouraged women to believe in themselves and overcome negativity. “Don’t let anyone define you,” she asserted. “Believe in yourself and achieve anything you set your mind to.”

This first Winning Woman Conference, themed “Building Transgenerational Wealth,” aimed to empower women to create and invest in long-term wealth.

Ms. Abiola Adediran, another speaker, stressed the importance of intentionality and purpose. “Women need to build wealth strategically,” she said, advocating for women to become “capital allocators” who invest in their passions and causes.
