Emotional Intelligence highlighted as 100 women get recognition at TPP Fest

The Peak Performing Woman of the year 2024 (Women in Leadership and fun day), took place recently at Muson center, Lagos, with the theme, “Enhancing Women Leadership with the Magic of Emotional Intelligence.”


The Peak Performance Africa, organisers of the annual TPP Fest, gathered women in leadership from all walks of life  to brainstorm on the day’s theme.


While Boardroom gurus like Lady Maiden Alex-Ibru and Dr. Mosun Bello-Olusoga shared their experiences on how they navigated the boardroom despite gender biases, PR Amazon, Nkechi Ali Balogun, Dr. Markie Idowu, Dr. Olamide Adedeji, first female CEO, Wakanow Nigeria, Adenike Macaulay, and MD, TVC, Mrs. Victoria Abiola Ajayi all stressed the need for socialisation and empathy towards staff to achieve peak performance in the work place.


For convener, Publisher, The Peak Performer Africa, Dr. Abiola Salami, for women to continue to deliver high quality performance, they need to cultivate high quality behaviour, have capacity to hold high quality conversation, build and nurture high quality relationships in high and low places, possess high quality executive presence as well as
high Emotional Intelligence.


The high point of the one day event was the Peak Performer’s Admirable Women in Leadership Recognition awards conferred on 100 active women in the market place, in acknowledgment of their excellent leadership by those they have led in the year under review 2023/2024. Among them were Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, ⁠Dr. Markie Idowu, ⁠Dr. Oluyemi Obadare, Mrs. Debisi Omole, Mrs Victoria Abiola Ajayi to mention a few.


To cap the event, birthday came a month earlier for Lady Maiden Alex-Ibru as organisers took advantage of the occasion, to celebrate her 75th birthday in a blaze of fireworks, great music, dance and sisterhood.
