Sabistation Business Owners Awards 2024 Honors Nigeria’s Top Entrepreneurs and Innovators
The Sabistation Business Owners Awards (SBOAwards), also known as “The Sabies,” celebrated its second edition at Upscale Quarters, Lekki Phase I, Lagos.
This prestigious event, held annually on October 22 to coincide with the birthday of Sabistation’s founder, brought together leading entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders to honor their outstanding achievements and contributions to Nigeria’s business landscape.
This year, 110 winners were recognized across various categories, including Entrepreneur of the Year, Innovator of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.
Prominent figures like Aliko Dangote (Dangote Petroleum Refinery), Funke Akindele, and Michael Collins Ajereh (Don Jazzy) were among the awardees, alongside industry giants such as Innoson Vehicle Manufacturer, Konga, and Nestle Nigeria.

Highlights of the Night: Entrepreneur of the Year (Man): Aliko Dangote; Entrepreneur of the Year (Woman): Funke Akindele; Social Entrepreneur of the Year: Don Jazzy (Mavin Records, Dripsoap Africa, Jazzy Burger); Lifetime Achievement Award: Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome (Alibaba); Business Leader of the Year: Obinna “Obi” Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana)
Additionally, awards were given to top organizations across sectors such as agriculture, banking, energy, and technology. Babban Gona was awarded Best Agriculture Company, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturer was named Best Automotive Company, and Seplat Nigeria took home Best Energy Company.
The selection process involved a distinguished panel of professionals and experts known as the Sabi Jury, composed of respected leaders like Kelechi Decca, Abdulwahab Umoru, and Nelly Agbogu.
Media representatives from prominent outlets such as The Guardian and Vanguard were also key in selecting recipients for the Media Awards category.
