Wear pink, change lives

It’s another Pink October and across board, the fervour is fast spreading. Amongst women and even men, pink, in all its shades, is taking over both the runway and real way to raise awareness about breast health and show support for victims of breast cancer.

See a few chic ways to incorporate pink into your style this October and also support the movement against breast cancer. Be careful not to veer into Barbie territory, though, as you create awareness for Breast Cancer!

Colour clash
Pink works well with many colours. Turn up the heat and mix with yellow, hot red or even orange.

Use as a highlight

If bold colour isn’t your thing or you think that too much pink is overwhelming, then ease into it. Try out a statement piece such as a pair of pink pants, jacket or skirt, and you’ll sure make a statement when you arrive.

Pop of pink accessories

Alternatively, try a pop of colour with either a bag, pair of shoes, hat, sunglasses, bow, scarf, statement earrings or chunky necklace. Such pink accents give a tasteful finishing.

Try tonal

Wearing varying shades of the colour is the perfect way to wear pink. Tonal colours— think fuchsia pink or magenta and a pale pink— are complementary.

Make it monochromatic
You’ll love the monochromatic look, especially as it is also extremely slimming. Whether head-to-toe in a pant suit, a jumpsuit, a skirt and top (with matching shoes) or a dress, it’s hard to go overboard with this colour.

Go bold— in a pattern
A graphic pattern gives interest and polish to any ensemble. So, adding a patterned skirt to a pink top (and vice versa) would be a really cool way to do pink.

Romantic ruffles

Adding details such as pink feathers, ruffles or fringe to your outfit is another great way to incorporate pink into your style this October for a flirtatious look.
