Easy ways to add Niacinamide to your skincare routine

You may have been seeing niacinamide serums allover the internet and in beauty stores as one of the hottest new trends in skincare.

A skin-friendly vitamin B3 derivative, niacinamide ranks as one of the hottest new trends in skin care.

This multitasking nutrient can help improve the health of your skin and enhance its general look. It can help your skin retain moisture, even out skin tone, eliminate black spots, shield skin from UV damage, manage skin blemishes as well as combat wrinkles and fine lines.

Here are some easy ways to incorporate this versatile and well-tolerated ingredient into your skincare routine.

  1. Start with a Serum
Niacinamide serums are lightweight and typically contain concentrated amounts of the ingredient. Use a serum after cleansing and before moisturising, usually in the morning or evening.
  2. Switch to a Niacinamide Moisturiser
Look for moisturisers that include niacinamide as one of the active ingredients.
This is an effortless way to add it while keeping your routine simple.
  3. Use a Niacinamide-Infused Toner
A niacinamide toner can be used right after cleansing to prep your skin for other products.
  4. Incorporate it into Sunscreen
Some sunscreens include niacinamide, providing dual benefits of sun protection and skin repair.
  5. Try a Niacinamide Face Mask
Use sheet masks or wash-off masks that contain niacinamide for a weekly boost.
  6. Layer It with Other Actives
Niacinamide pairs well with most ingredients like hyaluronic acid, retinol, and peptides. If you’re using it with acids (like AHAs or BHAs), apply niacinamide after the acid to avoid irritation.
  7. Choose Niacinamide-Enhanced Make-up Products
Some foundations, primers, and BB creams now contain niacinamide for added skin benefits while wearing make-up.
