There’s Paradise in Maldives – Biodun Okeowo

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Biodun Sofuyi Olabiyi, better known as Biodun Okeowo, is renowned for her captivating performances and award-winning films.

Beyond her success on screen, this talented artist has a profound appreciation for travel, often seeking solace and inspiration in the world’s diverse landscapes.

In a recent interview with Allure, Biodun revealed her idyllic escape: the Maldives. “The serenity and beauty of the islands are unmatched. It’s the perfect escape to recharge and enjoy nature,” she said.

Biodun’s love for the Maldives goes beyond its stunning beaches. She revealed that snorkelling, exploring marine life, and embarking on sunset cruises were some of the activities that made her visit truly unforgettable. “I enjoyed snorkelling, exploring marine life, and taking sunset cruises. The private beaches and luxurious resorts made it extra special,” she shared.

The culinary experiences in the Maldives also left a lasting impression on her. “I particularly loved the fresh seafood dishes and the unique blend of Maldivian spices,” she added.

For aspiring Maldivian travellers, Biodun offers sage advice: “Plan ahead and book accommodations early, as the Maldives can get busy. Pack light and don’t miss water activities like diving or snorkelling.”

While reflecting on her travels, Biodun also turned her attention to Nigeria’s tourism potential, highlighting destinations with untapped opportunities.

“I think destinations like Olumo Rock in Abeokuta, Calabar, Obudu Mountain Resort, and Badagry have so much potential. If the infrastructure and facilities are improved, they could rival some of the world’s best tourist spots.”
