Walk away if your marriage is not working – Yul Edochie to couples

January 26,2025
Share:

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has advised couples to be open to walking away from a marriage that is not working.

The actor, who is also a former presidential aspirant, shared this advice in an Instagram post.

In his post, Yul expressed his heartbreak after watching a viral video of a woman who was burnt by her husband.

He urged couples experiencing marital difficulties to let go and walk away from unhealthy relationships.

Yul emphasized that individuals who discover their partner cheating should not resort to violence, as there is no justification for harming another person. He firmly condemned the idea of killing someone over marital issues.

He stated, “If your marriage isn’t working, let go. Walk away. I saw the video of the lady who was burnt by her husband, and it broke my heart. Those having marital issues, listen up: even if you catch your wife with another man, there is no justification for harming her. If you catch your husband with another woman, there can be no justification for harming him. Don’t kill another human being because of marriage. Marriage isn’t do or die. Walk away.”

This is not the first time Yul has offered marital advice. Last year, he encouraged women who are eager to marry to take the initiative and propose to their partners instead of waiting for them to make the first move. He stressed that there is nothing wrong with women proposing to men and that it doesn’t matter who says the words first.
