The event, themed “Navigating Economic Uncertainties: Sustainable Solutions for Growth,” took place at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Mrs. Adenike Adebayo-Ajala, representing the Director-General of NECA, delivered the keynote address, paving the way for a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring prominent industry leaders from banking, government, and other sectors.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ore Boboye, Managing Director of Jobberman Nigeria, acknowledged that businesses were experiencing a period of economic uncertainty but expressed optimism that government reforms would create a more favorable business environment in the long run.
“I am aware that the government has a lot of ongoing reforms and policies… What I can advise is for government to enforce the implementation of its policies and create awareness on what it is doing for the country,” he said.

Samantha Ifezulike, Head of People and Culture at Jobberman Nigeria, stressed the importance of innovative HR strategies. “It is important to provide some level of stability via medical benefits, after-work activities, and external learning to drive the future of the business,” she said ¹.

Other speakers, including Mrs. Lynda Saint-Nwafor, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at MTN Nigeria, and Mr. Oluyemi Oloyede, Managing Director of UAC Foods, emphasized the need for organizations to adapt to global competition, economic shifts, and technological disruptions.

Saint-Nwafor noted, “We are at a time when it is no longer an option, but instead, it is everything, and we do everything we can to understand their pay point and price point.” She also advised organizations to leverage new technologies and identify like-minded organizations to drive growth.

Oloyede urged organizations to develop business models that proactively anticipate economic challenges. “The business environment would forever be challenging, and urged businesses to always gauge the stage consumers were at to drive balance and remain profitable,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, Prince Adedapo Adelegan, Group Managing Director of Celtron Group, encouraged businesses to adopt innovative strategies that drive growth and preempt disruptions caused by policy changes. He emphasized the importance of creating an organisational culture where employees feel a sense of ownership, which in turn fosters higher engagement and productivity. He also advocated for expanding Nigerian businesses globally while promoting local talent and resources.

A common thread throughout the discussions was the importance of adapting to policies, building a resilient workforce, and leveraging technological innovation to navigate economic uncertainty and stay ahead of the curve.

The Executive Exchange proved to be a valuable platform for industry leaders to share expertise, connect with peers, and gain practical insights. This event reinforced Jobberman Nigeria’s dedication to helping businesses thrive amidst the country’s rapidly changing economic environment.
