Agbons-GL Unveils ‘Ice and Crystals 2025’ Collection: A Majestic Display of Bridal Elegance

By Josephine Agbonkhese

If winter ever wore a crown, it would be dressed by Agbons-GL.
Glory Agbonita Ehizuenlen’s Ice and Crystals 2025 collection doesn’t just walk the runway; it glides through it like frost over marble, leaving behind a trail of shimmer, sharpness, and sheer wonder. With a designer’s hand and an architect’s eye, Glory takes us on a journey where bridal softness collides with haute couture structure, and every gown is sculpted not just to fit, but to mesmerise.

The Haute Couture Chapter: A Symphony of Shimmer and Structure

Agbons-GL’s haute couture segment of this collection is a masterclass in structure and surface brilliance. Glory leans into unconventional elements—tulle, organdy, wire, rods, creanoline mesh, beads, and Swarovski stones—to construct gowns that are nothing short of sculptural marvels.

Take for instance the metallic mirror gown from the collection (see second image). It’s a breathtaking mosaic of gold reflective fragments, seamlessly laid out across a figure-hugging silhouette. The dress curves into a dramatic fishtail, hugging the hips before blossoming at the knees. Every movement under the chandelier bounces light in a hundred directions, giving the illusion of moving glass. But what truly stuns is not just the shimmer—it’s how Glory balances that bold drama with fine structure, using rods and mesh to hold the drama in place.

The haute couture pieces are not meant for the faint-hearted. They are for the woman who walks into a room to be seen, to be remembered. There is power, precision, and a cold elegance—like winter itself dressed for a gala.

The Bridal Couture Chapter: Where Romance Meets Regal Grace

Glory’s bridal couture under Agbons-GL is a lush interpretation of classic romance woven into modern extravagance. In this segment, she softens the metallic fire of her haute couture with fabrics like mikado silk, satin, chiffon, bridal lace, tulle, and organdy, creating gowns that float, bloom, and captivate.

One such bridal piece (see third image) radiates with volume and grace. A structured sweetheart bodice plunges gently, adorned with delicate pearls and lace, tapering down into a flare skirt made from layers of creamy creanoline mesh. The skirt moves like a wave, like a cloud carrying a bride to her fairytale. The shoulders are kissed with crystal embellishments, hinting at celestial beauty.

Another piece in white (first image) showcases Glory’s signature fusion of texture and silhouette. A corseted top, drenched in beadwork and icy stones, meets a wrapped mikado silk skirt with an elegant slit. The contrast between the sharp precision of the skirt’s fold and the soft sparkle of the bodice is intentional, it speaks to the duality of a modern bride: strong yet tender, bold yet romantic.

Glory Agbonita Ehizuenlen: A Visionary Behind the Seams

What distinguishes Glory Agbonita is her ability to merge fantasy and engineering. Under the Agbons-GL label, she treats each gown like a canvas and paints with fabric, crystals, wire, and emotion. Her creations are not stitched merely for weddings or red carpets; they are crafted for unforgettable entrances, for chapters in a woman’s story.

Her Ice and Crystals 2025 collection shows that Glory is interpreting them through a uniquely African lens, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Nigerian fashion.

Glory Agbonita Ehizuenlen is a designer for women who want to own the spotlight and hold it.
