Fey Atelier’s Summer ’25: Where Coastal Ease Meets Intentional Design

Presented in Lagos on May 26, 2025, Fey Atelier’s Summer ’25 collection feels less like a seasonal drop and more like a considered study of ease.

Dada Glory Oluwafeyisayo

Designer Dada Glory Oluwafeyisayo draws from the quiet rhythm of the shoreline, not in a literal sense, but in mood, movement and material choice.

The collection carries the softness of coastal mornings: linen that breathes, organza that catches light without overwhelming it, cotton that moves naturally with the body. There’s restraint here. Rather than chasing trend-driven embellishment, Glory leans into fluid silhouettes and adaptable styling; pieces that can be reworked, layered and worn repeatedly without feeling dated.

The collaboration with Woven Bags NG subtly reinforces the narrative. Raffia textures, oversized beach hats and handwoven bags ground the collection in something tactile and recognisable, without turning it into costume. The accessories feel like an extension of the garments, not an afterthought.

The Palm Tide Shirt Dress stands out for its quiet versatility. Cut in sheer organza, it moves with lightness and can be worn long or styled shorter. It has that rare balance of structure and softness – appropriate for a beachfront lunch, yet polished enough for city wear. The green and neon palette keeps it current without being loud.

The Scallora Dress, in blush tones, is arguably the most romantic piece in the collection. Its shell-inspired lines are subtle rather than theatrical. The cotton fabric allows it to drape naturally, and when in motion, the dress does what good summer pieces should do — it breathes.
With the Seabel Short Set, Glory demonstrates an understanding of modern lifestyle dressing. Linen shorts paired with a relaxed top might sound simple, but the cut and proportion elevate it beyond resort basics. It feels wearable, but intentional.

The Solara Kaftan Set leans into travel dressing, wide-leg trousers and a floor-length kaftan that can be worn together or separated. This adaptability is a recurring strength in the collection. Nothing feels single-use.
Perhaps the most unexpected piece is the Lustra Shift Dress. Tweed embellished with light sequins introduces a subtle contrast to the otherwise breezy fabrics.

It offers a structured, slightly more urban counterpoint to the softer silhouettes; a reminder that summer elegance doesn’t always have to be fluid.

What makes this collection compelling is not spectacle, but coherence. There is a clear design voice at work, one that values wearability, movement and longevity. Glory isn’t trying to reinvent summer dressing; she is refining it.

The result is a body of work that feels grounded, feminine and quietly confident.
In a market often saturated with fast seasonal statements, Fey Atelier’s Summer ’25 feels thoughtful. It understands that true luxury isn’t excess, it’s ease.
