Joytique Fashion Heritage unveiled its latest masterpiece the RTW collection at a private gathering in Lagos on the 29th of April 2025.

The event took place in a sophisticated rooftop space that overlooked the bustling city but felt completely calm and exclusive. Soft music played in the background and the golden glow of sunset filtered through floor to ceiling windows.

It was an atmosphere that felt peaceful and luxurious setting the stage for a collection designed for women who appreciate modern simplicity and timeless elegance.

Creative director and fashion designer Joy Akindor delivered a collection that was not loud but spoke volumes in its beauty and grace.

The first look captured everyone’s attention from the moment the model stepped onto the minimalist runway. She wore a soft lavender gown that floated like a cloud. The neckline was round and smooth flowing into delicate pleating at the shoulders that added subtle structure. The fabric gathered effortlessly at the waist where a gentle knot gave the gown shape before it fell into a long flowing hem. The gown moved beautifully with every step creating a sense of calm and softness. This was the type of gown that would make any woman feel like the best version of herself with minimal effort.

Then came a rich deep teal gown that completely shifted the energy in the room. This piece was about bold elegance. The neckline was slightly gathered creating natural folds that wrapped around the body while the bodice fell gently into a high slit that revealed the leg in a tasteful way. It was glamorous but not overpowering. The model wore simple gold hoop earrings and soft strappy heels proving that you did not need heavy accessories to make an impact when the fabric and design spoke for themselves.

The next look felt like a warm embrace of cultural elegance. A two piece set in a luxurious cocoa brown with a soft natural shine was a refreshing change from gowns. The top crossed over at the front creating soft folds that highlighted the waist and neckline. The wide flowing trousers added comfort while still looking perfectly tailored. The model’s radiant smile and relaxed walk made the outfit come alive and it was easy to imagine women of all ages enjoying this look for a variety of occasions.

A softer romantic piece followed featuring a sky blue gown with delicate navy blue floral prints scattered throughout. The high neckline kept the look modest but the gently flared sleeves and ruched waist created movement and femininity. The model walked barefoot adding an extra element of natural beauty. It was the kind of dress you could wear to an outdoor ceremony or a daytime celebration and feel effortlessly graceful.

Then came a playful and youthful design in a vibrant powder blue shade. The off shoulder gown featured layered ruffles that danced with every movement. It was lighthearted yet elegant perfect for a younger bride or a festive guest who wanted to make a fun statement. The pop of colour from a small purple handbag gave the look a modern playful twist.

The final look of the collection was a soft grey gown that closed the show in the most elegant way. The design was simple with a rounded neckline and long fitted sleeves. The signature knot detail gathered at the waist before the fabric flowed to the floor in a soft and calming silhouette. The model’s natural beauty was highlighted with minimal makeup and a sleek bun proving that this gown celebrated the woman wearing it rather than overpowering her.
The Joytique RTW collection was a beautiful reminder that fashion can be both simple and luxurious. Every design had its own quiet confidence allowing women to feel effortlessly beautiful in any setting. Joy Akindor has once again shown her understanding of timeless fashion creating a collection that felt personal refined and completely wearable.
