All Your Beauty Questions Answered

In the ever-evolving world of beauty, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the volume of products, trends, and expert advice. From serums that promise youthful skin to the latest brow techniques, knowing what truly works can be confusing.

That is why we have gathered your most frequently asked beauty questions and delivered expert-approved answers to help you glow smarter, not harder.

Q: What’s the correct order to apply skincare products?
A: Think light to heavy. Start with a cleanser, follow with a toner (if you use one), then layer your serum, moisturiser, and finally sunscreen in the morning. At night, swap the SPF for a nourishing night cream or treatment.

Q: Do I need a separate eye cream?
A: If you’re dealing with puffiness, dark circles, or fine lines, a targeted eye cream can help. But a well-formulated moisturiser often works just as well for daily hydration around the eyes.

Q: How often should I exfoliate?
A: Two to three times a week is ideal for most skin types. Over-exfoliating can cause irritation and breakouts, so listen to your skin and adjust as needed.

Q: What’s the best way to make my makeup last all day?
A: Start with a clean, moisturised face. Use a primer suited to your skin type, follow with long-wear foundation, and set with a light dusting of translucent powder. A setting spray at the end helps lock everything in place.

Q: Are natural or organic products better?
A: Not necessarily. “Natural” doesn’t always mean safer or more effective. The best products are the ones with proven, skin-friendly ingredients, whether they are synthetic or naturally derived.

Q: Can I treat acne and wrinkles at the same time?
A: Yes! Ingredients like retinol, niacinamide, and salicylic acid can help tackle both concerns. Just be careful not to overload your skin, introduce one active ingredient at a time to see how your skin responds.

Q: Do I really need a 10-step skincare routine?
A: Absolutely not. While multi-step routines work for some, the basics, a gentle cleanser, moisturiser, and sunscreen, are non-negotiables. Add a serum or exfoliant if you want, but consistency beats complexity every time.

Q: How do I know my foundation shade?
A: Test along your jawline in natural light. Your perfect shade should disappear into your skin. And always consider your undertone, cool, warm, or neutral, for the most seamless match.

Q: Is expensive skincare really better?
A: Not necessarily. Drugstore heroes can rival luxury labels. Look for ingredients, not price tags. Hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and retinol are worth your attention, no matter the brand.

Q: Can I wear makeup every day without damaging my skin?
A: Yes, if you cleanse properly at night. Always remove makeup before bed and keep your brushes clean. Layering makeup on dirty skin is where the trouble starts.

Q: What’s the one product I should never skip?
A: Sunscreen. Rain or shine, indoors or out, SPF protects your skin from premature aging and sun damage. Make it your daily habit.

Beauty Tip:

Whatever your routine, consistency is key. Your skin won’t change overnight, but with the right habits and a little patience, results will come.
