Oluwatobi Aniyikaye Olakunle, aka Anix, a Nigerian Afro-beat and R&B singer-songwriter, has called on the  Nigerian government to create more proprietary firms to support up-and-coming artists.

He also urged the government to incorporate a funding pool for quintessential artists to chase their dreams.

Anix, who is set to release a new song,  titled “Obsessed” and produced by Segun Aniyi added that it is by so doing that up-and-coming artists can rise and compete with their counterparts around the globe.

Anix is known for his soulful voice, smooth melodies infused with Afro-chant, and heartfelt lyrics.

Speaking on his music career, Nix, who graduated from Babcock University, revealed that he began writing music at the age of 16.

According to him, music inspiration comes from a universe filled with existential melodies.

His music inspires a blend of traditional African rhythms with modern sounds to create a unique sonic soul experience.

He revealed that some of the challenges for an upcoming musician include getting traffic for streams and exposure.

On who among the musicians whom he admires, he stated,  “A lot of people in the industry, such as  Tems, Burns, Rema, Davido, Oxlade, among others.
