In a vibrant celebration of culture, family, and togetherness, Dangote Salt, a subsidiary of the Dangote Group, brought warmth to the 2025 Ojude Oba Festival, beginning with an health enlightenment session at the Ita Osun New Market in Ijebu Ode on May 30th, and culminating at the main festival grounds on June 8.

The pre-activation kicked off with a warm welcome from Princess Adesile Ajigboteso, who addressed traders, market leaders, and community members. In her remarks, she highlighted the significance of the Ojude Oba Festival as a cultural treasure that celebrates identity, tradition, and unity.

Adesile praised Dangote Salt for its consistent efforts to uphold and support heritage-based events that strengthen the Nigerian cultural fabric.

“Ojude Oba is not just a festival, it’s a spiritual and cultural homecoming. And it’s beautiful to see a household name like Dangote Salt stand with us to preserve and honour it,” said Princess Adesile.

“Salt does more than enhance flavour; it holds our stories together. It preserves what matters, our values, our health, and our heritage,” Princess Adesile concluded.

The event, which had in attendance the Iyaoloja of Ijebu Ode and other respected market leaders, featured a health education session led by a medical professional. The session enlightened the audience on the importance of iodized salt and its role in preventing health conditions linked to iodine deficiency.

At the heart of the main activation on June 8, 2025, was a powerful moment of tradition and elegance as Princess Adesile and her family rode to the Dangote Salt stand, dressed in their regal aso-ebi, instantly transforming the scene to a hub of colour, music, and cultural expression as guests gathered to share in the moments.
