Kayode Peters dies in Canada at 49
Kayode Peters, a renowned Nigerian film and stage producer, has passed away in Canada at the age of 49.

His death was confirmed by his colleague, comedian Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw.
In a statement to the Peoples Gazette, Yaw mentioned that he was still trying to contact Peters’ brother for further information.
“Yes, he has died,” Yaw said. “I am still trying to reach his brother, but he is not answering his phone.”
The circumstances surrounding Peters’ death are unclear at this time. He was highly regarded for his contributions to Nigerian theater and television.
Peters was the creative force behind several popular stage productions and sitcoms, including “Extended Family,” and he was best known for producing the hit comedy series “Flatmates” in the early 2000s.
