Kidnapping: I’m scared for people this December – Ruger expresses fear
Nigerian rising singer Ruger has expressed deep concern over the rising cases of kidnapping and insecurity across Nigeria ahead of the festive season, warning that criminals may target Nigerians returning home for Detty December.
In a post shared on X, Ruger described kidnapping as a “full-time business” in some regions and urged travelers to stay vigilant.
He wrote, “I’m scared for people this December. Kidnapping has become a full-time business in some parts of Nigeria and it’s only gonna get worse this festive season.”
He cautioned that the return of IJGBs (I Just Got Backs) and local travelers could attract criminal activity, adding that the festive period might be riskier than usual this year.
Ruger’s post has since sparked conversation online, with many Nigerians agreeing that the country’s security challenges have worsened, even as December, a month usually filled with concerts, parties, and family reunions, draws near
