Appropriate place to store your beauty products
By Temi Tope Ojo
There is a collection of different beauty products being used on a daily basis. Perfumes, powders, skin/hair products, and a whole lot more.
However, many do not give much thought to where these beauty products are stored.

There actually are proper ways to store them, and they are actually simple. It may seem like a trivial matter, but the benefit of storing them correctly means your beauty products stay fresher for longer, and that means you get more use out of them.
Here are appropriate places to store your beauty products:
★Moisturisers
Store moisturising lotions in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, like a drawer, cabinet or drawer. Avoid storing them in the bathroom due to humidity and temperature fluctuations, which can degrade the product.
★Hair Products
Store hair products in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep containers tightly closed to prevent oxidation and maintain quality.
★Powdered products
Face powders should be kept in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat, like a drawer or cabinet. Ensure all containers are tightly sealed to prevent moisture and contamination. To keep your powders hygienic, avoid touching them with your fingers and use clean brushes or applicators.
★Makeup Brushes
You’ve got free range to store brushes anywhere…except out in the open in your bathroom. They can absorb moisture, and since moisture often breeds bacteria, you have to be careful. If you do keep them in a bathroom, keep them in an airtight bag.
★Lip products
The main concern for lip products, specifically lipsticks, is the prospect of the product melting. As long as you’re not keeping them in hot spaces, you should be good.
★Mascara
The appropriate place to store mascara is in a cool, dry place at a consistent room temperature, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Ensure to keep your mascara and most eye products tightly sealed.
★Nail Polish
The nail polish is one of the most unstable products ever invented. The colours will separate eventually, regardless of where you store them.
While refrigerator storage could help, the problem with that is that, the texture becomes really thick, to the point where you can no longer use it.
Toss them in a dark drawer, instead.
