Soso Soberekon, an artist manager and entrepreneur, has demanded N500 million in retaliation for a defamatory statement made by singer Harrysong. This comes as a result of Harrysong’s allegation during a recent interview. He contended that Soso Soberekon is not a friend of his because he tried to kill him in Port Harcourt. He said this while attempting to prove that in the entertainment industry, there are no true friends.  Most people who claim to be friends are actually arch enemies. In a letter sent through his lawyer, Soso Soberekon charged Harryson with libellous publication. He demanded N500 million in damages, asked the singer to retract his statement and apologize to him through major news sources.

Soso Soberekon, according to Harrison Tare Okiri, aka Harrysong, is not his friend. He continued by claiming that Soberekon once dispatched assassins to kill him in Port Harcourt. During an interview with the host of the Frankly Speaking Podcast, the singer revealed this. The singer said this to justify his argument that people in the entertainment industry who claim to be his friends are actually his enemies. Soso Soberekon, a music executive, has thought back on his worst regret in life, which he claims was not signing dancehall artist Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, nicknamed Patoranking, and vocalist Teni Apata when he had the chance. On an Instagram question and answer live session, the music mogul was replying to a question from a fan. The follower had inquired as to what his greatest regret in life was and he said his unwillingness to sign now star singers, Teni and Patoranking. He went on to say that Patoranking would frequently ride an Okada (motorcycle) from Ikorodu/Ebute Meta in Lagos to meet him and urge him to sign him, but he didn’t. Soberekon continued by saying that he later signed another musician who Patoranking is now 100 times bigger than, and that this caused him a great loss.
