Don Jazzy’s Dilemma: Like Tiwa Savage, Like D’banj?

Is maverick producer, Don Jazzy setting himself up to be a hero, or is it that he doesn’t read the handwriting on the wall? That’s the hot question many Nigerians are asking, both online and on the streets.
It should be recalled that Don Jazzy and the prima-donna of his Mavin Records, Tiwa Savage, jetted out to the United States during the week where they met with legendary rapper and honcho of Roc Nation, Jay Z. It was even rumoured that Tiwa signed a deal with Roc Nation; however, that hasn’t been confirmed.
The bone of contention here is that the crisis in the then Mo’hits which eventually led to its demise started after Don Jazzy’s former partner, D’banj met with Kanye West, and was purportedly signed to his GOOD Music. People are already drawing similarities between D’banj and Tiwa’s case.
Is this move invariably going to lead to Tiwa’s exit from Mavins? Only time can truly tell!
