10 important things to tell your loved ones every single day
By Patricia Uyeh,
It is not good to take the other person for granted when in a relationship. Take time to share a few thoughtful words and sentiments. This would strengthen your bond and keep the relationship strong. Below are 10 things to tell your partner regularly:
1. “I trust you”
Trust plays a major role in every relationship. Let your partner know that you see him/her as someone of integrity. By doing so, you encourage them to work hard in maintaining that trust.
2. “I miss you”
Whether you are in a long distance relationship or have seen each other for few days or have less time to discuss, saying you miss your partner speaks volumes. It let’s your partner know that you value them.
3. “I respect you”
Let your partner know that you value them as a person not just for their looks, charm or job . Tell them how much you respect them for their intellect and character when they make that hard decision, achieve a goal or comment intelligently.
4. “You look great”
Let your partner know that you still find them attractive even when they are not at their best. It will help their self esteem for them to know that you are proud of them.
5. “I’m so grateful to have you in my life”
Let them know how much gratitude you feel towards them. What do they bring to your life? Care, affection, friendship, advice, good times….be thankful for your partner always
6. “I will always support you”
Reassure your partner that you will be there for them no matter the weather, through thick and thin. They will b e inspired to follow their dreams because you have their back.
7. “I appreciate you”
Telling your partner that you appreciate them validates their efforts and encourages them to keep investing in your relationship.
8. “Let’s go to…”
Relationships often end because one or both parties feel as though the excitement has gone. Try using these words to suggest new places to go and new activities to try. This let’s your partner know that you value them and want them to stick around.
9. “I’m sorry”
If you want to be happy with your partner, you would be wise to remember that sometimes it is more important to be content than it is to have the last word. Small fights can destroy relationships so learn what is worth fighting for and what to let go
10. “I love you”
Whether you’ve been together a few months or several decades, your partner will always appreciate being told how much you adore them. “I love you” can turn your partner bad day to a pleasant one.
