South African comedian, Trevor Noah knocks out Basketmouth and Idris Elba to host MTV MAMA this year

All roads lead to the MTV Africa Music Awards(MAMA) come October 22, 2016. South African comedian and host of Comedy Central’s ‘the Daily show’, Trevor Noah has clinched the spot for hosting the sixth edition of the award event scheduled to hold in Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg, South Africa. Trevor has edged out other eligible hosts notably, Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth and Hollywood actor, Idris Elba.
In the past, Wyclef Jean, Eve, Marlon Wayans, anthony Anderson and Trevor Nelson have all played hosts at the MTV MAMA.This year, the MAMAs appears to be loaded with performances from African stars like Alikiba, Babes Woduma, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, YCee and Yemi Alade.
