Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton’s wardrobe comes under scrutiny of paprazzi

kate-middletons-wardrobe With all eyes always on the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, special caution were likely taken to ensure an excellent wardrobe choice for the tour trip. Most of her looks are entirely or partly custom-made. It’s no longer secret that British royals keep a well-stocked wardrobe, suited for any engagement or event. Do you know that Queen Elizabeth II is even said to own more than 200 Launer bags (her favorite handbag label) in only two preferred styles as reported by the Telegraph?

Now that Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and their two small children have officially concluded their eight-day Royal Tour of Canada, outlets around the world have systematically documented the Duchess’ outfits, outfit changes and every piece of jewelry she has worn. Every piece that Kate Middleton wore for her tour – down to her accessories and even the service of her hairdresser – were dutifully documented by E! Online. The grand total for a dozen outfits worn over an eight-day trip? The entertainment outlet totaled it at more than $80,000 (again, including the daily cost of hairdresser). While the Duchess’ perfectly coiffed tresses cost a pretty penny to maintain (close to $400 a day), there’s no doubt that Middleton, still wore an enviable array of high-end labels. Among them, luxurious mainstays like Alexander McQueen, Carolina Herrera, Jenny Packham and Miu Miu.

While Middleton is still one to incorporate mid-range brands and high street labels like Zara and J. Crew into her outfits, the cost of her daily outfits on the Canada Tour totaled in the thousands. Yahoo Style also ran an estimate of the Duchess of Cambridge’s wardrobe (which included the total cost of the items she wore every day), which even came to an estimated $90,933. The Daily Mail attempted to calculate the Duchess wardrobe tour , putting it about 62,000 pounds or nearly 82,000 dollars.
