In the spirit of the Independence celebration, the celebs took to their social media handle to pay homage to Nigeria at 56.

On Air Personality, Toke Makinwa started her celebration yesterday as she posted a picture of herself in a green coloured turban off to an independence party.

“Happy Independence Nigeria.. Rocking my green turban to an Independence Party tonight. ???”

Songstress, Waje Iruobe, simply known as Waje posted a video of herself and music producer, Asuquo Cobhams doing a sound check at an independence day event and captioned it ; “Arise o compatriots#HappyIndependenceNigeria  #soundcheck with my brother@cobhamsasuquo”

Another On Air Personality and new bride, Tosyn Bucknor was not left out of the celebration, as she posted a collage of herself in her white wedding gown and green reception dress, which she captioned,  “Happy Birthday Nigeria. You are 56 now so don’t party too hard okay? I love you and am rooting for you!!!#NigeriaAt56 #Nigeria#IndependenceDay#HappyIndependenceDay#GreenWhiteGreen”

Nollywood actor, Benson Okonkwo has since posted several pictures to celebrate the independence anniversary of Nigeria. Some of his pictures, which saw him nude with only the Nigerian flag as covering for him.
