#BeardGang: 4 Things to note in grooming your beards

The beards are wonderful parts of a man’s facial features.

These days, it has become a ” fashion item” becoming more prominent now that the #BeardGang is trending.

It is being popularised by Nigerian celebrities like Noble Igwe, Praiz, Jidenna, Lynxxx, OC Ukeje, Desmond Elliot, DJ Obi amongst others.

Ask any of them, keeping beards is cool but it requires a lot of effort and care. As a guy, here are things to note to groom your beards:

1 . Choose a style
This depends on the shape of your jaws. You can go for low maintenance or high maintenance beards depending on what you can handle. Remember grooming your beards requires a lot of patience.

2.Invest in beard shampoo and conditioner
To avoid skin irritation, use beard shampoo and conditioners regularly. Once you stop shaving, the skin produces dead cells, so to get rid of them, you have to wash your beards with beard shampoo and conditioner for proper care. Don’t use scalp hair shampoos as this could lead to more irritations.

3. Brush beard regularly
The beard can’t fend for itself so you need beard brush and comb to groom it. Brush the beard outward to know areas that need trimming then you can then brush downward afterwards. If you don’t know a good barber to help with the trimming of your beard, try to learn how to use a beard trimmer.

4. Eat with care
Now that you have joined the beard gang you have to be careful with what you eat. You don’t want to eat okro or ewedu and allow it spill on your beards. Follow good diet habits and eat well to allow beards grow well.
