Politics is a wider platform for reaching people- Dayo ‘D1’ Adeneye speaks on leaving entertainment

Veteran broadcaster, Dayo Adeneye, popularly known as D1, who is currently the Commissioner of Information & Strategy in Ogun state has admitted during a recent interview that he misses the entertainment scene.
However, he has no regrets about his decision to delve into the politics.
Dayo Adeneye teamed up with Kenny Ogungbe to form Kennis Music, a record label that was instrumental to the growth of the Nigerian music industry.
Artistes like Eedris Abdulkareem, 2Baba (then known as 2face Idibia), Tony Tetuila, Paul Play and KSB were signed to their record label.
During the interview when asked if he missed the entertainment industry, Dayo Adeneye replied:
‘Yes I miss a bit of being on air but being a politician is a wider platform of reaching people.’
