Yesterday, Sunday, June 17, Father’s Day is celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that fathers and father figures make to the lives of their children.
Allure spoke with some Nigerian celebrity fathers on what excites them most as fathers and what fatherhood has changed about their lifestyles.
For Solid Star: “Fathers day for me is always a complex time. It’s filled with mixed feelings; joy for having my son to cherish and sadness for always craving for the love of my Father, who passed on when I was still a child.
The joy of being a father is the fact that I get to look down at my child with such fierce love, knowing that I’d go to any length to make him happy. Being a father has really made me sit up tight, having the mindset that I can no longer be reckless anymore. I now take time to think before I act.”
