Sixteen year old Olivia Edomonu and Nosarumen Awanbor, aged 19, have emerged winners of the Elite Model Look Nigeria 2018.

They were picked at the Grand finale which took place recently, at the Art Twenty One gallery, Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

The 20 contestants which took part at the grand finale were picked from the over 1000 applicants that came for the annual casting.

The models made two appearances, strutting on the runway in collections of some Nigerian designers; including, Meena, Kenneth Ize and Maki O’.

After a night of great runways walks, good fashion, judges announced Olivia Edomonu and Nosarumen Nwanbor as winners.

Making the announcement, the representative of Elite Model Look Paris, Sami Sabbarini, stated that the winners were selected because they met some important criteria the Elite Model Look always look out for.

They include; beside being young, a good height and striking facial features.
The winners will be joining winners from other countries, to compete at Elite Model Look World Finale scheduled to take place in Europe.

The event also featured a style awards presentation to the best-dressed female and male guest of the night, with Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic and Legal practitioner, Eyimofe Atake given the prize for the Best Dressed Male and Female respectively.

Founder of Elite Model Look Nigeria and host for the night, Elizabeth Elohor while delivering her speech noted that, while every year had always felt like the last time she’ll be organizing the competition, she says this year has been different. “No giving up this time. It’ll continue to get bigger and better” she thanked both sponsors and guests for their time and support.

With the Nigerian modelling industry rising globally, Elite Model Look Nigeria has produced some of the best models in the country like Mayowa Nicholas, Davidson Obennebo who won the Elite Model Look World in 2016, and Victor Ndigwe.

These sought-after models have walked pieces of international designers like Gucci, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Valentino and many more.
