Barak Obama’s touching message to wife Michelle on 55th birthday
Former US President, Barack Obama has tweeted a touching birthday tribute to his wife, Michelle, who turned 55 on Thursday. And, many people are celebrating their love.
Obama posted a throwback photo of both of them on Instagram and Twitter with his arm around her as they both smile at the camera, looking relaxed: “I knew it way back then and I’m absolutely convinced of it today — you’re one of a kind, @MichelleObama. Happy Birthday!”
The photo appears to have been taken in the Kenyan city of Mombasa in 1991, the same year they got engaged.
Mrs. Obama replied to his post by thanking everybody for their “birthday love” and saying how proud she is of her “South Side roots, my soul-affirming partner and daughters, and every unimaginable twist and turn over these 55 years”.
She added: “Can’t wait to see what becomes of the next one!”
Other famous faces also wished the former first lady a happy birthday this year, including Beyonce who posted a picture of Mrs Obama as a child with the words: “BOW DOWN.”
